Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD)
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is the State of Ohio agency that partners with Ohioans with disabilities to achieve quality employment, independence and Social Security disability determinations outcomes.
OOD’s mission is to be the most recognized and valued resource for Ohioans with disabilities.
Disability:IN
Disability:IN is a national non-profit that helps business drive performance by leveraging disability inclusion in the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace. Disability:IN® serves as the collective voice of nearly 50 Disability:IN affiliates across the United States, representing over 5,000 businesses.
Ask EARN (Employer Assistance and Resource Network)
EARN provides resources to help employers recruit, hire, retain and advance individuals with disabilities and is a service of the National Employer Technical Assistance Center (NETAC) based at Cornell University.
Job Accommodation Network (JAN)
The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is a free consulting service that provides information about job accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the employability of people with disabilities.
National Business & Disability Council
The National Business & Disability Council is a resource for corporations that are hiring, working with, & marketing to people with disabilities. Provides resources, including a job search & resume database to businesses for a fee.
Social Security Administration (SSA)
Office of Employment Support Program
The SSA addresses the employment of beneficiaries of social security with disabilities. Includes Ticket to Work, tax, & work incentive information.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
U.S. Department of Justice
ADA homepage details the history and current state of the ADA. Employers can call the toll-free ADA information line to obtain answers to general and technical questions about the ADA and to order technical assistance materials.
Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP)
U.S. Department of Labor
ODEP provides national leadership to increase employment for adults & youth with disabilities while striving to eliminate barriers to employment.
U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
The EEOC promotes equal opportunity in employment and provides technical assistance on the ADA and other provisions applying to employment.
